I am a junior majoring in biomedical engineering and I started working in the lab beginning in May 2018. I spent the summer learning to design and 3D print items needed by Dr. Aras and Rose Yin for their projects. I worked on redesigning and constructing a portable organotypic slice culture device that monitors and preserves human heart tissues. During the semester, I worked on a cardiac tissue field pacing device as well as several other devices for Dr. Aras’ conformable electronics experiments. I am currently working on a project with optographene and its potential for pacing cardiac cells.
